Borong Nature Camp is a fresh homestay situated in its namesake mountain village located in southern district of Sikkim.
The primary attraction of this pristine mountain hamlet is a natural hot spring located on the banks of the Rangeet river. It is very popular among locals and tourists alike, due to the healing power of the mineral-rich waters.
Borong is located close to a number of important monasteries for Tibetan Buddhism. These include the beautiful Pema Choeling monastery located in upper Borong and the impressive new Ralong Monastery. However the most significant religious center is the Old Ralong monastery, which was constructed in the mid-eighteenth century and is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim. Another attraction is the spectacular Titanic viewpoint, which derives its name from a viewing platform that resembles the famous ocean liner.
The Borong Nature camp has three separate single-room standard cottages and three separate single-room semi deluxe cottages. The interior and exterior are decorated with natural bamboo and local wood, to preserve the feel of nature. Each of the three rooms is equipped with a king sized bed and attached toilet fitted with geyser.Â
The site also has a fully equipped kitchen that serves delicious homely meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner at the open dining area.
We started operating this homestay on 1st April, 2021.
